With a podium result two races ago and disappointment due to a broken axle at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park at the last event, Tyler Maxson and Bryan Ortiz are looking for redemption this coming weekend. Set to take on the Lime Rock Park in Lakeville, Connecticut, the talented duo will pilot the Van Der Steur Racing-prepared Hyundai Elantra N TCR in their quest for additional hardware in 2023.
“We had a strong event in Canada all the way up until the axle broke,” expressed Maxson. “I really think we could have fought for a podium finish, but it wasn’t meant to be. Hopefully this weekend we can deliver the results that the team deserves.”
Set to hit the track for a jam-packed Friday, Maxson and Ortiz will take part in a pair of practice sessions before qualifying later in the day with wheel-to-wheel racing action on Sunday.
Maxson added, “I love Lime Rock and think this could be the site of our first win of the season. I know we are ready to raise the champagne and will work hard to try and achieve that goal.”
