With one program already confirmed for this coming season, Tyler Maxson is doubling up on his efforts in 2023. Inking a deal to drive for Bob Deily and the Deily Motorsports program, Maxson will pilot the #70 Hyundai Elantra entry alongside Jacob Deily in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Series.

“I’m thankful for the opportunity Deily Motorsports has given me and to be back behind the wheel of the Hyundai Elantra N TCR this season in the Michelin Pilot Challenge program,” explained Maxson. “Being included in the program to not only drive the car but to coach and help the race team is an important step for me.”

“I am excited to have a driver of Tyler’s caliber join my son at Deily Motorsports,” explained Bob Deily, father of 17-year-old Jacob Deily who will co-drive with Maxson. “Tyler brings a wealth of knowledge and several connections to our program. We are looking forward to a strong season in 2023.”

Based out of Oklahoma, Deily Motorsports has hired and secured the services of several top-level crew members for the upcoming season. Fielding two cars in the Michelin Pilot Challenge Series, Maxson, who will take on multiple roles, is excited about the new challenge and new opportunity.

Maxson continued, “While we are going into the season as an underdog team, we hope that we can turn some heads as the season rolls on. I am confident in the group of people that we have put together and look forward to a successful 2023 season.”

Maxson brings knowledge, experience, and a proven track record to the team in their quest to build a program and take on the goliaths of the Michelin Pilot Challenge.

Maxson and Deily Motorsports will be on track this week as they take on their first wheel-to-wheel action of the season at the famed Daytona International Speedway during the ROAR before the 24 and ROLEX 24 Hours of Daytona event.
