Tyler Maxson delivered a strong and consistent performance on the streets of Long Beach, securing valuable championship points in Rounds Three and Four of the Porsche Carrera Cup North America season. Maxson and TOPP Racing traveled to Southern California to take on the 1.968-mile, 11-turn temporary street circuit, marking the series’ return to the Long Beach Grand Prix weekend for the first time since 2023.

Behind the wheel of the #77 TOPP Racing entry in the Pro class, Maxson tackled the demanding concrete jungle with confidence. He qualified sixth for Race One and improved to fifth on the grid for Race Two, positioning himself well in the mix across the weekend.

In Saturday’s Race One, Maxson gained ground early and climbed into fourth, pushing hard in the closing stages in pursuit of a podium finish. Despite a determined effort, he ultimately crossed the line just shy of the top-three. The team continued to refine the car overnight, giving Maxson a competitive package for Sunday’s Race Two.

On Sunday, Maxson once again showed strong pace, running in close contention with his competitors throughout the race and consistently pressuring those ahead. He ultimately finished fourth, securing another solid points result and maintaining his position at the top of the championship standings.

“It was an amazing experience to race in front of this crowd in Long Beach,” said Maxson. “The energy was incredible all weekend, and it made the experience really memorable. While I was aiming for more here, I kept my head down and focused on maximizing every opportunity. We’ll work hard over the next couple of weeks to prepare for Miami and come back even stronger.”

With two top-five finishes secured, Maxson leaves Long Beach still firmly in championship contention. Maxson and the team now turn their attention to Rounds Five and Six at the Miami International Autodrome, set for May 1–3, where they aim to build on their early-season momentum.
