Tyler Maxson will arrive at the Long Beach Grand Prix as the championship leader after winning the first two rounds of the season and establishing himself as the early driver to beat in Porsche Carrera Cup North America competition. Racing with TOPP Racing, Maxson dominated the opening two rounds, earning a pair of pole positions and climbing to the top step of the podium twice to set the benchmark as the early-season favorite.
After a perfect start to the year, Maxson sits on top of the championship point standings and carries strong momentum into one of the most iconic events on the calendar. His early-season form has put the rest of the field on notice, and as the series heads to the challenging temporary street circuit in Southern California, all eyes will be on the TOPP Racing driver.
Known for his outright speed, Maxson has quickly positioned himself as a leading title contender. With two wins already in hand, he now turns his focus to maintaining that momentum on a circuit that leaves little room for error.
“We’ve had a great start to the season, and I’m really proud of what we’ve accomplished so far with TOPP Racing,” explained Tyler Maxson. “Winning the first two rounds put us in a strong position, but there’s still a long way to go, and Long Beach is a completely different challenge. It’s a tight, demanding street circuit, and you have to be locked in every lap. I’m excited to get back on track Friday and see what we can do.”
Maxson is set to hit the temporary street circuit on Friday for a jam-packed weekend of action as the championship takes center stage alongside one of the most prestigious race weekends in North American motorsports.
The Long Beach event will provide another major test in the title fight, but Maxson and TOPP Racing head into the weekend with confidence, momentum, and the championship lead firmly in their hands.
